Expio Terms of Use

Note, our Terms of Use (henceforth referred to as "these Terms") may change. When updating these Terms, we will notify you via email address connected with your Expio account.

These Terms govern your use of the Expio Platform (henceforth referred to it as "the Platform" or "Expio"), contain information about the Platform, and determine the rules of using and accessing the Platform. By accessing Expio and using any component of the Platform you agree with these terms and acknowledge your consent. The Platform includes technologies and software we provide for the Expio mission.

1. Who can use Expio

You can use the Platform only if you agree with and accept these rules. To use Expio, you must be at least 13 years old. By accepting these Terms and using the Platform on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to do so and have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms, in which case the words "you" and "your" as used in these Terms shall refer to such entity.

2. Using the Platform

We are developing the Platform and therefore it may change. At our discretion, we may stop providing access to the use of the Platform for you only or for all users. We also have right to impose restrictions on the use and storage of data.

We can delete the content or refuse to publish content using the Platform. By using Expio, you agree not to use the Platform in an unlawful manner. When accessing Expio and using the Platform, it is forbidden to:

  • Access the Platform using any means and methods other than those provided by us.
  • Prevent other users from accessing the Platform, send viruses or spam, bombard the Platform with emails, and develop scenarios to create an excessive load on the Platform.
  • Access and use the closed and unpublished areas of the Platform.
  • Scan for system vulnerabilities, hack, or circumvent the security or authentication of the Platform.

We reserve the right to open, read, save and disclose any information if it is necessary to comply with the requirements of existing laws, regulations, and lawsuits, or to investigate potential violations of these Terms.

Expio can not disclose personal information to third parties unless otherwise stated in our Privacy Policy.

3. Content in Expio

When using the Platform, you handle all the content you submit. By submitting your content to Expio, you agree that it will be in the public domain. Creators of the material are responsible for their content on Expio. We do not control the content published on Expio and do not take responsibility for any content posted on Expio. You use any content that you received on Expio at your own risk. We confirm neither guarantee you the completeness or reliability of any content got through the Platform.

When using the Platform you may find content which, for various reasons, may seem insulting, unreliable, or unacceptable to you.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates the User Agreement. Such violations may include, for example, copyright infringement, unlawful behavior, or harassment. If you believe someone copied your content, and it violates any copyright, please contact us.

Granting Content Rights

You keep the rights to all the content you add and publish to Expio. By adding and publishing content with the help of the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive and royalty-free license, with the right to sublicense. It is using for copying, publishing, processing, and adapting, changing, reproducing, transferring, displaying, and distributing such content by any means and distribution methods that exist at this time or that will be developed in the future.

This license gives us the right to make your content available to other users. The publication of content on Expio does not result in payment or compensation for content you have uploaded and published to the Platform. By accepting these Terms, you warrant you have all the rights, licenses, powers, and permissions to grant the rights under this document to any content you add and publish to Expio.

You agree that the content you upload and post will not contain any copyrighted materials or any proprietary rights unless you have permission or rights to publish such material and to grant to Expio the license as described above.

Features of adding and publishing content

It attaches each post in Expio to a specific subject and topic. It means you cannot add content without selecting an item and topic.

The Platform's team adds communities, subjects, topics at their discretion.

Users may suggest adding a particular community or a subject that is not on the Platform. We are not obliged to add new topics or communities based on these requests. We are not responsible for the fact that some communities or subjects may not be added to the Platform now or in the future.

The content you upload is immediately published on the community page and becomes available for all users of the Platform. On your account's profile, you will see your all added content.

You or any user of the Platform may give feedback on any published content on the Platform.

After giving your feedback on any content, it will not display it in your feed. Moreover, it will not be available for you on the community page and in the search results.

Based on the users' feedback, the content may be hidden from publication on the Platform for any user. If such case happened with your content, you will not receive any notification, and the content will be viewable only for you on your account's profile.

Only users who added the content on the Platform can delete it. Expio is not responsible for moderating your content. Our content publishing policy is based on the users' feedback monitoring algorithm.

4. Account in Expio

To use some of the functionality of the Platform, you may need to create an account. You handle your account.

Therefore, we recommend you to use a strong password unique to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage that may arise due to non-compliance with the above requirements and recommendations. We will send you sometimes specific emails such as announcements about the new functionality of the Platform or administrative messages. These emails are part of the Platform and your account, and you cannot refuse to receive them.

5. Your license to use the Platform

Expio gives you a personal and free, non-assignable, and non-exclusive global license to use the Platform. We issue this license for using Expio and taking advantage of the Platform under these Terms. These conditions do not give you the right to use the name Expio or any trademarks, logos, or domain names associated with Expio and any other brand features.

6. Termination of these Terms

You can terminate this agreement with Expio at any time by deleting your account and stopping your use of the Platform. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account. Only if we have reason to believe that you are violating the Expio Terms or creating risks for us and subjecting us to possible legal actions. In the event of termination of your account, these Terms and the license to use the Platform also terminate. In this case, we will try to notify you via the email address connected with your account.

7. Change of conditions

We can revise and change these Terms of Use as necessary or desired. The changes made will not be retroactive, and in our relationship with you, we will always follow by the current version of these Terms, which are always available at expio.me/terms/. We promise to notify you 14 days before changing these Terms via the email address connected with your account. By continuing using the Platform under new changes to these Terms, you agree to comply with the updated Terms.
