If there’s a fundamental flaw with product reviews, it’s the typically short duration that reviewers have with the item before hitting a publishing deadline. We can’t really know the quirks of a product without using it over and over again, which is why it took me 3.5 years to review the Leica Q.

Like most Leica X1 owners, I was excited for the firmware update released on March 29th mainly for the predicted autofocus improvements. However, 2.0 brought other features less discussed. I glossed over three of these features when I first read the improvement list, namely the depth of field indicator, the manual focus position-save, and the one minute auto power-down...

The Cheapest Leica You Can Buy!

I often get asked about cheap cameras and also about cheap Leicas. Because whether you like it or not they produce a special look and colors that many find desirable. The X1 is the cheapest purebred Leica I know of.
