First Leica acquisition - Leica X1. Is it worth it?

Greetings Leica peeps! I've always loved Leica, never shot one, never owned one. The industrial design looks absolutely immaculate and although I'm not a huge believer in the "colour science" bits, I think there is indeed a substantial amount magic to them.

A random opportunity presented itself where I could potentially own a mint condition X1. Now... the camera is pretty old I know, and the 12 MP are at the lower range of what I'm comfortable with, however there is something drawing me to this one.

My questions are:

1. Would you say the X1 will give me a sneak peek into the Leica experience?

2. Do you think 350 EUR (~390 USD) is a good deal for a camera in great condition with original packaging?

3. Is it worth it in general? (in the sense of - do you think it's a decent deal?)

4. If I go for it what are some things I should be looking for when I'm testing the camera?

I own a D800e which would of course remain my main shooter, but I wonder if the Leica would be able to become a portable DSLR replacement for when I don't want to haul tons of gear around.
